Planet Fitness is bashed for "not being a gym", but personally I think this location is great. First, it's open 24 hours (awesome). Second, membership is only 10$ for one gym location and that's a great deal if you're a student like me. The place is always clean, the staff is friendly, and the machines are plentiful and almost never out of order. Planet Fitness may not be a bodybuilders paradise, but it's ideal if you want a low cost gym that you can go to whenever you want, keep to yourself, and get in a good workout.
I have to admit I wasn't keen on going to the purple gym. The colors are dark and dreary. That's the one thing I don't like. Everything else is great. Good staff, love the red light, hydro massage table and massage chairs. The locker rooms are always clean and spacious.
All the staff is very friendly and all the machines are newer than most other gyms if a machine breaks it gets fixed immediately. The place is kept clean and tidy at any given time you will see a staff member wiping down equipment, moping floors ect and it never has that nasty gym smell.
Best staff around, the Chambersburg PF! no one bothers you while you're working out either, you work at your own pace and due your own thing. But you know the staff is there if you need them.
Love this place! Great atmosphere, and judgment-free. It has a large variety of exercise equipment, and is very clean. The employees in my experience have always been very kind and helpful! Also, the music is pleasant and at a good volume (not too loud). Many of the machines have a small tv attached to it, so you feel more at home and relaxed during your time there. Very affordable!
